I’m Sarah of Sarah Louise Photography, a baby milestone photographer in Westhoughton, Greater Manchester. My sessions are relaxed, playful and baby-led, designed to record the chapters that arrive after the newborn stage with simple, timeless photographs you’ll love for years.
Milestone sessions focus on who your baby is right now. We keep the styling soft and uncomplicated so their personality shines: bright eyes, cheeky grins and all those tiny details you don’t want to forget.
Sessions take place in my cosy Westhoughton, Bolton studio and move at your baby’s pace; we pause for cuddles, snacks and nappy changes whenever they’re needed, and we follow their lead for the happiest expressions.
There isn’t a single “right” age, but some stages are especially lovely to capture.
When baby is able to sit unaided it is time for a classic “sitter” session. At this stage they can sit unaided, grab toes and interact with simple toys, which makes for joyful, expressive portraits. By nine to eleven months they may be crawling or pulling up, and the session becomes a celebration of movement and curiosity.

Absolutely. Milestone sessions are ideal at any point in the first year and beyond. We’ll capture genuine expressions and the skills your baby has right now.
All milestone sessions happen in my Westhoughton studio for comfort and consistency. In warmer months we can discuss a simple outdoor set if that suits your family.
Yes. While the focus stays on your baby, I’m happy to include a few family images, it’s a lovely way to remember this stage together.
I keep a small collection of timeless pieces and simple props. If you have something you adore, bring it along and we’ll style it in.
